About
Circular ditch constructions, also called ring ditch cons- tructions or rondels, are structures of Neolithic cultures in Central Europe, which are preserved today exclusively by archaeological findings. These ring-shaped ditch and rampart constructions represent prehistoric earthworks. The oldest of this type were mostly circular or elliptical in shape and combined excavated ditches with raised ramparts. This type of building culture, which is already over 7000 years old, prompted me to design an exhibi- tion pavilion for nature photographs. The round mason- ry structure allows a translucent effect and thus offers visitors special views in, out or through.
